Sweeping through the city of Redding, CA, The Carr Fire took over 1,000 homes. One of these happened to be ours, along with our manufacturing facility that was the heart and soul of AKEENi.

With our building and tools burnt to the ground, we didn't know what to do. The future of AKEENi seemed grim.

A single wallet was recovered from the ashes, where just days before the AKEENi team had just finished our first commercial run of prototypes. This gave us hope for the future.
But we had something special...
